Faq:.
Is SE86U a replacement for the Sony sync cradle.
SE86U is in the sense that you can use it the same way as the sync cradle. But a different driver is needed and is supplied.

Is SE86U compatible with DCU-11?
SE86U is optimized for use with P800 and is compatible with all functions as used with DCU-11 or the original cradle. DCU-11 is compatible with many other phones but we have not tested it (and no support for other phones) so compatibility with other phones is not guaranteed. Though there is no reason why it cannot be used.

Can SE86U be used with original Sync Cradle or DCU-11 alternately in the same PC?
Yes, different drivers will be loaded automatically when you connect SE86U (Device Manager shows USB to Serial) or Sync Cradle (Device Manager shows USB Cable DCU-11), the same or different com port may be assigned each time you connect a different USB device.
