The intensity which
flashing LED works depends on network conditions.
It
is compatible with GSM900 or
GSM1800, but it looks much better (brighter and more
frequent flashes) with GSM1800 because of the higher frequency.
When
used with GSM900, it may only flash on INITIAL incoming/outgoing signal when current
(signal power) is at its strongest, then it will stop. so it may not flash during
a call (or data transfer) as some may expect, though it will flash on sudden burst
of signal (from weak signal to strong signal) during a call.
Therefore
do not expect to use it as a device to indicate incoming call and turn off the
ring/vibra, as it only flashes in the first 2-3 rings and then stop.
When used with GSM1800, the light may stay on and
flashing during a call (and during data transfer on data connection session).
And it may stay flashing as long as the phone rings before answering (network
dependent), thus making it a device to indicate incoming call.
As every network works on a different frequency, the performance of the flashing antenna varies from network to network (even on the same GSM900 or GSM1800).
Replacement antennae performance (signal reception) are dependent on network conditions and may not be as good as original antenna. In most conditions (particularly in strong signal area), performance should be about the same as original.
