9-pin serial port and Win95/98/ME. (Some
recent laptops, Sony
in particular, do not have 9-pin serial port so cannot be used)

driver (Win95/98/ME) (instruction)

is primarily designed to use as modem cable connecting your PC and J5/Z7.
There is no guarantee that it will work with future Sony software. (though it
is very likely that it will be compatible) Other
phonebook/SMS management software may be compatible if the software uses
AT commands understandable by J5/Z7. For
