Cable/adapters can easily be found in your local Hi-Fi shop. We have a
retractable 3.5mm plug>3.5mm plug (SP33R) for
this purpose. It is more expensive than your Hi-Fi shop black one but it is neater.
We only made a limited quantity specially for this. If you make/receive calls
while connecting to external Hi-Fi, the other party will hear his/her own echo
so you have to turn down the volume (conveniently controlled via the adapter,
it is not necessary to access the Hi-Fi control). The retractable mechanism
may lose its tension slightly in time. It is recommended that you retract it fully
when not in use in order to preserve the retractable tension. Please
appreciate that because of the design, very thin wires can only be used so it
is a delicate piece of hardware. Use/handle with care for it to last.
FAQ: What happens if a call comes in when I am listening
to music? Depending on the setting of Media Player - Tools>Settings>Audio
& Video > While using another program: Pause playback
or Continue playback. Pause
playback - Music stops (pause), you hear phone rings, if you
press "ignore" on the PPC, music resumes. If you answer the phone (press answer
button), you have to tap play on Media Player to resume music after you end the
call and the phone program on the PPC. Continue playback
- Music mutes (almost) but continue to play in the background, resumes to original
volume when call is ended.
