Warning
: For PDAs which have separate DC input - DO NOT
connect the USB Charge Cable at the same time as another USB Sync/Charge Cable.
Note: Power output
from Compaq/Toshiba/Audiovox and Casio E-100/105/115 AC adapter is 5V/ 2A, output
from standard USB port is 5V/500mA. So it takes longer for USB charge cable to
charge the PPC. In practice, it takes 2-3 hours to fully charge the PPC with USB
charge cable. Casio
E-125 and EM-500 require 5.9V so the USB Charge Cable is not suitable for use
with these models.
However,
if you use this charge cable in a car in conjunction with our car USB adapter
(CUSB), which outputs 5.5v, it can charge Casio E-125/EM-500
satisfactorily.

Recommended batteries:
All PDAs - Rechargeable NiMH batteries
of 1500mAh or higher. AA NiMH batteries are rated 1.2V-1.25V with actual output
of 1.2V - 1.3V. So 4 x NiMH batteries have output of 4.8V - 5.2V
Casio
E-125/EM-500 - These PPC require 5.9V so 4 x Alkaline batteries are
required which makes 6V. However, we never get any satisfactory
result and we do not recommend using battery extender for E-125/EM-500.
FAQ: How long will
a set off AA batteries last with the Battery Extender? It
depends on the condition/capacity of the batteries. A set of freshly charged batteries
should last at least 2-3 full charges on the PPC so should be enough for a trans-continental
journey. Remember that if any one of the batteries is below proper condition,
the whole set may not work. Therefore make sure you use a set of good condition
rechargeable batteries.
