this is a new style/system
for connecting GPS/PDA. It is not interchangeable
with the old style which we have been selling for a few
years and will continue to support previous customers who wish to add/change interface
cables to the ones already owned. The main difference with the new style is that
it is possible to power the GPS with the new style while with the old style cables,
batteries must be used with the GPS. If you are
buying GPS/PDA connecting cables for the first time we recommend you choose this
new style. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Because
Garmin GPS using the R
connector as data/power requires different voltage power input for different models
so it is not possible to make one cable that is suitable for all and customers
may make mistake by inserting the incorrect power input into the GPS thus damaging
it.
We
are exploring possible solution but do not expect to come up one in the near future.
Therefore new style GPS for Garmin R
(round) connector is at present not available.
Our
GPS cables are unique, versatile (upgradeable) and affordable. As tradition
of our innovative ideas, we make the main cables (Garmin

etc) which you can connect to many interchangeable PDA and PC interfaces so that
