Solutions
to power both PDA and
GPS We
stress that we do not make any power supply/cable for any GPS as there are so
many variations of voltage inputs for different GPS. We
always maintain that using rechargeable batteries for handheld GPS is the best
solution as you do not have to carry extra cables. One set will last 6-20 hours
and if needed, you just carry extra sets. It is not that inconvenient to change
batteries even in the middle of a journey. The running cost is neglegible after
initial cost of charger and batteries. However, external power of PDA for car
use is almost mandatory so we have full range of packages of cables for various
PDAs here.
Still,
we receive enquiries from time to time for cables to power BOTH PDA and
GPS ! Therefore,
we have come up this solution. We do not recommend
it ! As the set up is bulky, not cheap, and you
need 2 cigar sockets in your car (though it is easy/cheap to get a splitter).
But at least we make it POSSIBLE for those who so desperately need to power both
PDA and GPS all the time in car.
First
of all, we do not make/sell and power/cable for GPS, so you must have the appropriate
original (or compatible) PC Serial / Power Combination cable (
010-10164-00 or 010-10165-00 or 010-10268-00 for Garmin,
730277 or 730345 for Magellan, appropriate for your GPS ).
Then you need G9XPM

appropriate for your PDA PLUS CKUC.
