Innovative
(you cannot buy this anywhere else at present), low cost, and easy to use/install
handsfree you can use anywhere: while you are out, in car or at home (use
Hi-Fi- speakers as speaker phone). All you need to
use in your car is your car Hi-Fi with 3.5mm auxiliary audio input, then you have
a good car handsfree for much lower cost than the "real" car kit. At home, you can
connect it to your home Hi-Fi, or computer to use as speaker phone or record conversation.
The kit consists
of 3 parts as follow:
Handsfree
body (pictured is for Nokia 8210/8850) With Microphone, on/off
switch, (note: Sony and Motorola do
not support remote on/off, it is used as MUTE button) 2.5mm

If
your car Hi-Fi has auxiliary audio input (particularly 3.5mm jack), it is very
straight forward and easy and you can plug it in and use straight away. (it should
be relatively easy to find a suitable adapter from Hi-Fi shop if you have a different
input other than 3.5mm jack) Car
handsfree kits are expensive and difficult to install. With this dual purpose
kit connecting to you car Hi-Fi you have effectively a better car handsfree costing
much less. As
speech is coming out from your hi-fi speakers from both sides, other party (caller)
may hear his/her own echo (this is normal with most car kits). Therefore you should
experiment the best place to put your microphone and the optimum speaker volume
settings. (it may be less of a problem if the speakers are at the back)
If your Hi-Fi has
RCA (phono) input at the back, it is better to get a relatively long (0.5-1m)
3.5mm jack to RCA cable adapter. (only one will do, so that sound comes out from
either left or right speaker which is easier to eliminate echo)
If your car H-Fi has no suitable input, you can still use the kit by connecting
it to external amplified
speaker that can be powered in car (use cigarette lighter to multi voltage connectors,
which should be relatively cheap), most computer speakers will do. For this purpose,
you only need one speaker. A cheap small battery operated speaker may well be
the best as you can place it to avoid possible echo. If
you need longer cable connection, you can buy 3.5mm extension cable up to several
metres long from your Hi-Fi shop.
Tips:
Some Stereo (e.g. some Kenwood)
has a feature that when audio signal is detected in auxiliary input, it will mute
whatever is playing (radio) and play only the audio from the auxiliary input.
So this is an ideal equipment for use with this handsfree kit. If
you are buying a new car stereo with using the handsfree kit in mind, look for
this feature.
Cassette adapter is
not recommended as it adds cost and the result may not be satisfactory.
As installation is simple and straight forward, no
further instruction will be sent with the kit.
Note:
no warranty is given for handsfree kits except for DOA (dead on arrival)
item. If you find that it is faulty once you have received it please notify us
immediately and return to us. We will then send a replacement AND
refund of the return postage.
