It was really a puzzle why Nokia would leave out the vibrating function
on the European 3210 models when seemingly all the software and hardware
are already built in – except the vibrating motor.
Software
and hardware for different versions/models for different countries may
differ so results may differ. Use Pclocal
with care, you could damage your phone by accident.
An alternative to Pclocal is NSE
Vibra Activator ACM-C by PRO, which seems
easier/simpler to use and less hazardous, but it is still early to know
if there is any problem with this software.
In comparison, it may be better to use Pclocal if you can get it and
use it with care.
Instruction published here has been done successfully on an Orange (UK)
3210e model NSE-8/9 version 04.65.

Please state your model, country, software version (check before and
after you reset to factory setting). It will help others who are wondering
whether to go ahead.
First of all you may like to make sure that the
vibra controller is built in just in case that some models also have
this hardware left out. Then you need the following:
1. Data cable – FBUS or MBUS

2. Software -
PcLocal version 1.3 - find it from the links.

3. Vibrating
motor.

4. Tool – T6 screw driver.

After all the hard work (it really was not all that hard and could take
less than 15 minutes), you are now the proud owner
of an vibrating 3210 !! The vibrating alert function is on menu
9-8. Try it by selecting various ringtones.
We consider instruction given here is clear and
detailed and should be easy to follow even for someone who has little knowledge
of the sofware/hardware. If you follow all procedures and it does not work
at the end, the possible cause is that the vibra controller is not
functioning. The other possible cause is the vibra motor which you can
check by connecting it directly to the battery (either polarity, you should
have checked this before fitting it). And check that the motor is aligned
correctly on top of the contact points.
